I used a ceramic baking dish, so I don't know if that helped, but ours was really good. Oh, and a little ice cream helps it along. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2731653621954485934.post-37707510052023404112008-09-28T09:48:00.000-05:002008-09-28T09:48:00.000-05:00The color of the plums is really very pretty. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it. I made the cake again today without any fruit on it; I put a bit of streusel on instead. It was pretty good, but I should have baked it just a bit longer (I started checking at 25 minutes so I wouldn't overdo it). I really like your colorful plums, btw. =)Dihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01968703151905016369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2731653621954485934.post-6397575877657800522008-09-27T11:12:00.000-05:002008-09-27T11:12:00.000-05:00I love your substitutions. I think your tricks to precook and use a different pan will be good to remember for next time. It's not "dimply" anymore, but... Still, it looks like a lot of us had the same problem with dry edges and a soft center. Dorie's notes said that it would start out "crumbly like cornbread" so maybe it's not supposed to be an especially moist cake? I loved it anyway - and your colorful plums make it look especially pretty!Audreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14912114716426828436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2731653621954485934.post-43627402427064060102008-09-26T18:42:00.000-05:002008-09-26T18:42:00.000-05:00The Dimply Cake looks lovely.
