TWD: All-in-One Holiday Bundt Cake

One of our options for "Tuesdays with Dorie" this month was the All-in-One Holiday Bundt Cake, chosen by Britin of The Nitty Britty. It's a pumpkin-spice cake with add-ins of chopped apples, cranberries, and pecans. Perfect for the fall season!

Doesn't it look delicious? Well, it was! You can find the recipe here or here or here.

The recipe says you can add a maple-flavored frosting, but that seemed like overkill. A light dusting of powdered sugar was just right.

I saved a couple of slices for my husband -- and took the rest into work in my "new" antique cake carrier. (An early birthday present from aforesaid sweet husband -- purchased on eBay.) Shiny!

We'd all had a rough week at work and this hit the spot!

The powdered sugar was a great idea. That was indeed all it needed. And I love the cake carrier. So much classier than plastic.

Beautiful! And that cake carrier is out of sight!

I actually made this three weeks ago and did a rewind this week (can't do the Chestnut Cake right now). However, the first time I made this cake it stuck in my pan. I bought a new pan and made it again last night, perfection!

Barbara- I am definitely coveting your cake carrier. Love. Is this the holiday bundt that Dorie put in her Bon Appetit column last year? I have that clipped and ready for action!
Beautiful job.

Love your cake carrier. Isn't eBay the best?! Your cake looks so pretty with just the powdered sugar on it. I made the maple glaze and thought it was yummy.

Thank you, everyone! Rachelino, no, the recipe on the Bon Appetit site is a somewhat different holiday bundt cake. I'd love to try that one, too. I've added links to the recipe to my post now, so you can compare them if you like.

Looks great! I didn't glaze mine either and I thought it was very tasty on its own. What a cool cake carrier!
